Google’s Adword Drastic Changes

It appears internet marketers using Google Adword will now have to deal with significant changes made by Google. It seems that some keywords now require a minimum bid that has increased from $0.50 to $5.00 per click! This has a cataclysmic affect on a number of advertisers who spend $10,000 or more on Adword monthly. These businesses will no longer be able to use Adword to advertise because of the significant increase in the required minimum bid. It looks like Google is telling people they don’t want their advertising dollars as quoted from John Reese.

“It appears as if their latest changes are mostly affecting SQEEZE PAGES. In other words, landing pages that go for the opt-in before showing a sales letter or the bulk of the site’s content.”

Currently Google has still not commented for the reasons behind these changes. I’ll continue to post updates once I receive them.
