Post your First eBay Auction

It’s so easy to get started using eBay to make money online. Follow these simple tips and you’ll be on your way to making money online.

Open an Account
First things first, you have to create an eBay account. Once you’ve done this or if you already own an eBay account login to account and go to Sell. Then click on Create a Seller’s account. The site will then guide you through the rest of the process.

Deciding What to Sell
If you unsure of what to sell the easiest thing to do is look around your house for unwanted or unused items. Anything from electronics, clothes, and old baby items will all do well on eBay.

Submit Your Item
Once you’ve picked out what to sell now comes for the most important part…selling it. The first thing you should do is click SELL, and then select which category your item fits under. Since this is your first auction it’s best to let eBay choose for you. Next you will need to fill out the title and description of the item you are listing. The important thing is to be as descriptive as possible with your item. Set your sell price at $0.99 and click on a 7 day sell. You can also add other features such as pictures if you want to. You’re now given the option to select payment method (I suggest PayPal for now) and shipping destinations (select your country only for now). Now you can submit your first eBay!

Sit Back and Wait
Now that you item is submitted check back with eBay regularly to see if any bids have been placed on it as well as seeing if anyone has posted any questions about it.

Collecting Payment and Shipping
Once the item has sold the buyer will typically pay you within a day. If he doesn’t, you can send the buyer a receipt in the seller menu to “remind” them to pay you. Do NOT ship the item until you have been paid and see money in your PayPal account. Once you have the item get the item to your shipper of choice ASAP.

That’s it…hope you have fun selling and making money online with eBay.
